FinTech consultancy

Licensed, banked and growing. In that order.

Who this is forFounders and boards of brokers, payment companies, EMIs, prop firms and fintechs who need an operator who has done it, not a slide deck.

How I workFixed-fee projects, a retained seat at the table, or equity where I believe in the project. Hands-on either way.

Stage 1

Pre-licence

You know the product. You need the jurisdiction, the application and the structure to get regulated without wasting a year.

Stage 2

Licensed but stuck

You have the permission but no bank will onboard you, your PSP keeps freezing funds, or acquisition is dead on arrival with compliance.

Stage 3

Scaling

Revenue is real. Now you need senior hires, a sales floor that performs and an operating rhythm that keeps the regulator relaxed.

What I help with

Four areas where financial firms stall.

Most engagements touch two or three of these. Each one below lists what I actually do and what you walk away with.

01

Licensing and regulation

Choosing the right licence for the business you actually want to run, then getting through the door with a file the regulator can approve.

What I do

  • Jurisdiction comparison against your products, markets and budget
  • Application strategy, timeline and budget, including local partners
  • Policies, manuals and the operating model regulators expect to see
  • Group structuring: holding, operating and payment entities
  • Liaison with the regulator and local counsel through to approval

What you get

OutcomeA licence pathway you can fund and staff, a complete application pack, and an operating model that survives the first inspection.
02

Payments and banking

Opening and keeping the rails a regulated financial business needs, from the first operating account to multi-currency settlement.

What I do

  • Bank and EMI introductions matched to your licence and flows
  • Acquiring and PSP selection, pricing and contract review
  • Card, local payment methods and crypto on- and off-ramps
  • Settlement and treasury flows that keep funds moving
  • Compliance narrative that keeps banks comfortable with your model

What you get

OutcomeWorking deposit and payout rails, redundancy across providers, and a banking relationship that doesn't end at the first review.
03

Marketing and growth

Acquisition that converts and survives compliance review. Built on what worked scaling an eight-figure trading education business and dozens of broker clients since.

What I do

  • Paid media structure, creative and reporting across Meta, Google and native
  • Affiliate and IB programmes: terms, tracking and partner onboarding
  • CRM, lifecycle and WhatsApp journeys from lead to funded client
  • Review generation and reputation, including Trustpilot flows
  • Messaging and offers that convert within promotional rules

What you get

OutcomeA funnel with known cost per funded account, partner channels that scale, and marketing your compliance officer signs off on.
04

Team and operations

The people and process to run the business you just built. Leadership hires come through Exec-Tech; the rest is operating experience.

What I do

  • Leadership and specialist hires via Exec-Tech's network
  • Sales floor design, scripts, commission and clawback structures
  • Operating cadence: reporting, KPIs and accountability by department
  • Tooling and project management rollouts that actually get adopted
  • Loyalty, retention and client-service models for regulated firms

What you get

OutcomeA team that performs without you in every meeting, and numbers you trust by Monday morning.
Ways to engage

Fee, retainer or equity.

The model depends on how much of the problem is yours to solve and how much upside there is in solving it together.

Project

Fixed fee

A defined scope with a defined outcome: a licence application, a banking stack, a funnel rebuild. Priced up front, delivered to a date.

Best for a single, well-understood problem
Retainer

Seat at the table

A monthly retainer for ongoing access: weekly working sessions, introductions as needed and a hand on the operating wheel across several areas at once.

Best for firms between licence and scale
Equity

Skin in the game

For projects I believe in, part or all of the fee as equity or revenue share. I take fewer of these and work them harder.

Best for founders who want a partner, not a supplier
How it starts

From first call to first result.

Short on ceremony. Most engagements go from discovery call to signed scope inside two weeks.

01

Discovery call

Thirty minutes on where you are, what's blocking you and whether I'm the right person. No charge.

02

Scope and proposal

A one-page scope: the problem, the deliverables, the timeline and the model. Fee, retainer or equity.

03

Delivery

Weekly working sessions, a shared tracker and introductions made as we go. You see progress every week.

04

Handover or extend

Either the problem is solved and documented, or we extend into the next area. Your call at every milestone.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Are you a law firm or a licensed adviser?
No. I'm an operator who has been through licensing, banking and growth on my own businesses and with clients. I work alongside your lawyers and compliance officers, not instead of them, and bring in local counsel where a jurisdiction needs it.
Do you only work with forex brokers?
No. Brokers, prop firms, payment companies, EMIs, crypto platforms and iGaming operators all share the same three problems: licence, banking, growth. Most of my work sits across those sectors.
How quickly can you start?
A discovery call within a week of your message, a scope within a week of that. Delivery start depends on current retainers; I keep the number small so each gets real attention.
Will you take equity instead of fees?
Sometimes. For projects with real revenue or a clear edge, part or all of the fee can be structured as equity or revenue share. I take on few of these each year.
Can you also hire the team?
Yes. Leadership and specialist hires come through Exec-Tech, the recruitment firm I founded, which has made 1,000+ placements across 100+ countries for brokers, fintechs and iGaming operators.
